Steve Klein, O.D.

Dr. Klein received his Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. He is a therapeutic optometrist licensed to treat eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, dry eye, pink eye, styes, glaucoma, as well as other conditions causing ocular pain or vision reduction. He fits Low Vision Devices for individuals with very poor correctable vision, and has extensive knowledge and experience in co managing refractive surgery. In addition Dr. Klein excels at specialty fit contact lenses for bifocal and multifocal wearers, keratoconus, dry eyes, hybrid contact lenses, corneal refractive therapy, and lens fitting after ocular and refractive surgery. Dr. Klein is the secretary-treasurer on the State Board of the California Vision Foundation and past president of the Lions Optometric Vision Clinic.
 

Kim Plattner, O.D.

Dr. Plattner attended the University of California , San Diego and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree with distinction from the Southern California College of Optometry as well. Dr. Plattner is board certified in Ocular Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents, and she is specialty trained in contact lens and refractive surgery care.
 

Greg Hayes, O.D.

Dr. Hayes is a native San Diegan who earned his Bachelors of Science degree at the University of California , Los Angeles and his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry (S.C.C.O.). After completing optometry school, Dr. Hayes participated in an extensive residency program in pediatric optometry and vision therapy at S.C.C.O. He currently practices full-scope optometry with an emphasis on pediatric vision examinations and the treatment of learning-related vision problems, strabismus (eye turn), and amblyopia (lazy eye). He also performs vision examinations for special needs populations including visually impaired children. Doctor Hayes’s memberships with organizations include the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.
 

 Nathan D. Johnson, O.D.

Dr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Michigan State University-Lyman Briggs School of Science in Human Biology and his Doctor of Optometry degree with distinction from the Michigan College of Optometry. He completed externship training in ocular disease management, specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics, and primary care optometry services. Dr. Johnson is a full scope optometrist licensed in the treatment and management of ocular disease with therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. He emphasizes early detection of ocular pathology such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, treats acute and chronic eye infections, and performs minor procedures like punctal occlusion for dry eye. Dr. Johnson co manages refractive surgery, fits all types of contact lenses, and participates in contact lens studies. Recently he helped coordinate and manage participation in a study comparing two of the newest multifocal contact lenses available. Dr. Johnson is also certified in corneal refractive therapy (CRT). Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and San Diego Optometric Society.
